Calling all Nevada colleges and university teams!
Create a short video—no longer than 5 minutes—about clean energy in Nevada or Nevada’s support for vehicle technology innovation.
The winning videos will be shown on stage at the National Clean Energy Summit on October 13 at the Bellagio Casino and Resort.
Students producing the top three videos in each category will receive free admission to the Summit and will join Senator Harry Reid and Governor Sandoval at a VIP breakfast.
Videos in the following two categories will be accepted:
- Nevada Clean Energy Success Stories: Videos in this category should highlight the vibrant clean energy economy in Nevada across a range of technologies at different scales. Videos should include utility-scale and distributed generation projects in Nevada; videos that include energy efficiency, building innovation, or clean energy technologies other than generation will receive priority consideration.
- Nevada Drives Vehicle Innovation: Videos in this category should highlight Nevada’s efforts to drive the development and deployment of innovative vehicle technology through a variety of approaches, such as electrification of fleets, workplace charging, and autonomous vehicle trials. Videos MUST include a graphic/map of the proposed Nevada Electric Highway and how it will connect to other states.
The title of your video does not have to mirror the category titles above.
Videos will be judged on originality and creativity, audio and visual production quality, viewer engagement, and how well the story line showcases Nevada as a national leader in clean energy.
Deadline for Submission: All videos must be submitted by midnight, September 22, 2017.
Only videos created and submitted by teams associated with one of Nevada’s colleges or universities will be judged. Teams must include at least one student, faculty or employee of the following institutions: College of Southern Nevada; Desert Research Institute; Great Basin College; Nevada State College; Truckee Meadows Community College; University of Nevada, Las Vegas; University of Nevada, Reno; Western Nevada College; Sierra Nevada College; and Western Governor’s University.
